I worked as a series director on the development of educational children's show Millie and Dodo for WordPlay Media. The series was developed to be launched on digital English learning platform for Chinese young learners, Tornado English, and was funded by the UK Department of International Trade, Sunderland City Council, Innovate UK and Northstar Venture Capital.

I was responsible for the development and creative direction of the animation series. This included hosting script writers meetings, directing voiceover recording sessions and working with storyboard artists, animation teams and production houses both in person and via online communication to cement the vision of the series. This included providing notes and direction in order to develop a creative vision with imagination and originality. The job required a lot of attention to scheduling and handling many separate teams at once. It was important to work collaboratively with all creatives onboard, ensuring that there was excellent communication on the project, that deadlines were met and the production stayed within budget.
